Pokemon GO is debuting the Jewel Pokemon, Diancie, along with its Mega evolution, Mega Diancie. The Pokemon was previously only available in the Osaka, London, and New York events and is now a feature in the Global Fest 2023. Participants will also be able to get a Mega Diancie.

Diancie and Mega Diancie are legendary Rock and Fairy-type monsters coming to the platform. Diancie has a maximum Pokemon GO CP of 3091, and its Mega variant’s maximum CP reaches 4913. The Pokemon and its Shiny variant possess versatile move pools, highly effective in PvP and PvE settings. That said, players might wonder how to get Mega Diancie and if its Shiny variant is available.

Pokemon GO: How to get Mega Diancie

Pokemon GO Global Fest Mega Diancie

Players first need to get Diancie; later, Mega Evolve it into a Mega Diancie. Diancie is a featured monster in the Pokemon GO Fest 2023, and ticket purchasers can get this monster through Special Research. The Global event runs for two days, and ticket holders can access exclusive Special Research on the 1st Day, Saturday, August 26. The Saturday Special Research offers an encounter with Diancie.

Mega Diancie has a versatile move pool, and its best moveset combines Rock Throw and Moonblast (24.08 DPS). Once players get their hands on a Diancie, they can Mega Evolve the monster by collecting 300 Pokemon GO Mega Energy. Diancie Mega Energy is available in the ticket-exclusive Special Research story rewards and by winning Carbink raids. Players need to participate in the 2-Star Carbink raids and come victorious. Defeating the raid boss faster results in earning more Mega Energy

Once players defeat enough Carbink raids and collect the 300 Diancie Mega Energy, they can proceed to the Pokemon GO Mega Evolution process. Diancie undergoes Mega Evolution for eight hours, and only one Pokemon can Mega Evolve at a time. If players Mega Evolve another Pokemon within eight hours, the Mega Diancie reverts to its original state. With higher Mega levels, Diancie requires less Mega Energy. Advancing Mega Level lowers cooldown and unlocks more bonuses.
